Song of the Week - Prospekt's March/Poppyfields

beforehand.. I apologize for the future frequent use of Coldplay. They're great.

This song is yet another classic coldplay tune to where you can just close your eyes and be lifted on their aircraft of greatness.

The song's track time is officially 3:39, but the song ends, actually, at under 3 minutes.  There's nothing better than a perfect, short song.  No verse, chorus or bridge is repeated.  Nothing complicated.  Simple chords over great melodies.  Flawless.

I love chorus' that start on the V.

Song of the Week - Choux Pastry Heart

a little late on this one.  holidays..

Corinne Bailey Rae is a brilliant artist.  I'm glad to have found what is very rare these days, someone who sings with their accent.  This is a great song within a great album.  Get it!

I'm still trying to decide whether "one for sorrow/two for joy" is the beginning of the chorus or a pre-chorus.  If it's the pre-chorus, great, but if it's the start of the chorus, we've got another thing going.  Lets pretend it's the chorus.  A different starting line on the second chorus?  Yes!  "three for a girl/four for a boy"

precious.

Merry Christmas!

Song of the Week - Glass of Water

..and they did it again! Coldplay releases an EP just months of the release of Viva La Vida or Death and All of His Friends and with great songs too! If you haven't gotten your copy you can get it here.

I've always loved the mix between heavy distortion guitars with spaced out lyrical patterns. Melodic Rhythm!
